Default Wii through Sky Box?

Hi fellas

I am an assistant manager at a pub, and on Monday we are hosting a charity day.

One of the main attractions will be a Nintendo Wii tournament, and I have a quick question about the set up.

The TV which we will use is on one wall, but I was wondering if it was possible to connect the Wii to the TV via the Sky Box (located behind the bar at the opposite side of the room).

We have the Sky Box connected to the TV, but I can't quite figure out how to get the Sky Box to transmit the Wii signal but not the Sky signal? Or would I be able to do it if I simply tuned a different TV channel into the TV on a different frequency?

Cheers in advance for any help

Jamie

I've never played with a sky box but I assume the connectors are for output rather than input.
Can't you plug the wii into the TV directly?
The sensor bar has to be either above or below the TV also, wouldn't that pose a problem if the wii was the the other side of the bar?

I have a wireless sensor bar so that isn't a problem, and the other option is plugging the wii directly into the TV but that means the Wii console itself will be left in the public area, whereas I'd rather keep it behind the bar.

Ah yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Um. So how is the sky box connected to the T.V.?
Is that wireless or has a long cable I guess.
Have you ever succedded in relaying other audio/video signals through the box.
Like I said, I've never had one so I don't know what I/O it has.
Are there clear "In" and "Out" ports on the back of the sky box? If not I would have to recommend you go to currys/comet whatever and get a video sender.
I know the maplin website has a good example.

Here it is:

Gud luck!
