I was recently downloading some files on wupload, and on one I recieved this alarming notice: Wupload does not allow files to be shared. We are a STORAGE ONLY product so you can only download your own files. If you have uploaded this file yourself, login first in order to download it. Last edited by igenther99; 04-02-12 at 02:49 PM. Oh well, I kinda hated Wupload's bandwidth... Just my opinion, I think mediafire is like the new Megaupload... |

It was only a matter of time...Personally, WUpload was crap in my view...It was like what fileserve used to be so I never used it...Still have mediafire and others

WUpload is being targeted by the MPAA. WUpload is doing what Fileserve is doing right now too. Code: Select All http://news.cnet.com/8301-31001_3-57407346-261/mpaa-wants-more-criminal-cases-brought-against-rogue-sites/ |

%$#@&* ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() so wupload is It was great while it lasted. As a free user, it was one of my go to sites for the past 2 months for tv show web dls. now have to look elsewhere. (mediafire etc). At this rate by next year we won't have any site to turn to for "Free' at a good bandwidth speed. Maybe by next year only 30kb/s will be the norm for all poor free users. I use it for toon web dls but it is sometimes slow 50kb/s to 250 kb/s. I can live with those speeds, better than nothing (for free). I'm afraid mf is next since it is listed in the article you cited. I use that for everything, small games, comics, shows, movies. It will be sorely missed if it's next.

Is it just a myth that Wupload is the same company as one of the other hosts that recently stopped their sharing facility? If it is I can understand why they have gone this route because you cannot have one site allowing sharing and another not if you are trying to show you are a legit company.

I liked Wupload because of the resumable download function for free users. Even though they had reCAPTCHAs the speed was decent.

and another premium bites the dust.....oh well, I was one of the unfortunate few who bought it right before they started their downward spiral. Hmm.......so thats.....let's see....MU, Filesonic, Fileserve, AND Wupload premium accounts all closed w/ no warning or recompense *sigh* all those dollars and gigabytes :-/
