Controller Xbox 360 + Computer = 7.1 DDS ??

Basically I want to hook the 360 Audio to my PC.
I want to Emulate 7.1 DDS to the Main Audio Jack.
Now I know Turtle Beach has a DDS for the 360, but I am broke so....!

I do have a Realtek HD 7.1 On Board. (Custom Built Machine)
I am trying to figure out if this is possible todo.
I have searched emulator for this, nothin!
This seems like a far fetched idea. But I am curious to see if this is possible.
If the Turtle Beach DDS can be bought, Can the PC Emulate the Stand-Alone?
Look forward to any idea's to this theory!

TY

I have one on my Board. But the 360 you need that special cable, which I don't have.
I use the basic cable they send with the system, pop the black casing off.
Then I can plug in Hdmi with that Cable for the head set.

Actually this should be possible. It may not be possible using Vista/7/8 (due to directsound changes that came with Vista) but with XP this should work if you have a motherboard/soundcard with an sp/dif (optical) input. If I remember correctly Asus boards (at least some of them) used to have digital audio inputs a couple years (like ... 5-6 years ago). AC3Filter should be able to do this on the software side of things.

Not making any promises here but if it's possible then this would be your best starting point to figure out if it can still be done with todays hard/software.

Edit: Actually, look for "DTS live" and/or "Dolby Digital live" or similar. Those are features that do realtime hardware based transcoding of some sort if memory serves right. Sorry if this is all a bit vague, been a while since I had my head in the game.

When I first bought my xbox360 I looked at things like this, gave in, and bought the official cable that hooks the xbox to my PC monitor, and I can also use it too hook up my PC speakers to the xbox.

Have to say, the results were gorgeous

I wanna say TY to all who took the time and help!
@Loora: After looking Dolby Digital live is what I need to get this project started.
The problem is now I dont realy understand how to get the software. They want you to apply for Licenses. I just want my audio to be epic not run a company for it. They have a consumer licenses so I try for that hofely I can stumble onto a release of it somewhere!

Edit: Found my card has the DTS conversion software installed. But the DDL is better, so iam try that for now!

Just to note the 360 only supports native 5.1 sound the other 2 speakers will just be same sounds from the two other speakers.

That's not entirely true. The additional channels for 7.1 are not discreet channels. The signal is mixed into the the SR+SL channels at recording time. Receivers that do support 7.1 can "split" up these channels to generate the extra audio for the additional speakers. The playback device (xbox, dvd player, pc etc.) does not need to support 7.1 at all as long as it's connected to your receiver via sp/dif or HDMI.

If you have a 7.1 speaker set directly connected to your pc then your pc becomes playback device and "receiver" (aka decoder). If your soundcard/onboard audio has analog outputs for 7 channels then it will act just like a 7.1 capable receiver.
