i think vista is better,i have had xp for years and got on fine with it but i just built a new pc and decided to upgrade to vista 64-bit and can tell you that vista has a lot more better thing's you can do on it and is a lot faster, the problem with vista is you need a powerful computer to just run it a lot of ram and a good cpu. but if you have the pc for it then vista is great, ![]() IMO, Vista 64 bit is much better than 32 bit version.. So for those who wanna go for Vista 64 bit, make sure your PC has good specs with a minimum of 4GB of RAM! ![]() Or else, Vista will

As a long time user of both vista and XP let me just say XP wins hands down. Those who think vista is better probably just think that some of the features that are now available are great. However, when you consider that vista was made three years after and most people still have not converted over to vista and that microsoft is rushing to get windows 7 out its clear that vista has some serious issues. I only use vista because I don't really have any other choice b/c I have a quad-core and more than 3gbs of ram which xp doesn't support very well. Unfortunately linux doesn't really support gaming all too well yet so I'm waiting for either some new linux-based platform or windows 7 to drop b4 I switch. To anyone thinking of getting any windows platform : DO YOUR RESEARCH!

If you have a business then keep away form Vista. It is never meant to be used in an office. Vista is more for people who loves to have new things without the need to understand how it works, JUST wanna have it. At least that's how the world work I guess. I am a computer tech, web designer, IT manager, and I run wires form time to time :), Vista is a VERY+2 terrible OS. Extremely heavy, cut your hard drive life in half, uses most of your RAM, Horrible on security, Terrible with Quicktime, Poor with video and audio codecs, slow with Video editing software's, and so on...I think you got the picture. But...if you just want to brows the net, view some photos, and listen to music then Vista is for you. I recommend holding to XP Pro or use Windows 2008 Line, or wait for "7"

XP all the way. Only reason Vista sucks is because it uses up all the RAM (They did that on purpose). WHen there is extra memory and RAM left, Vista will fill it up and let go when nedded. SOmetimes its too slow on letting go and too fast on taking. XP is the best i think. And if you vista, i would only go vista if you have 64bit cuz it can handle it.

I have a dual boot with XP Pro and Vista Home Premium 64-Bit. I had a bit of trouble at first with Vista and drivers, but it all got sorted after a while. I find Vista works a little faster than XP, probably because I have a 64 bit processor and an extra gig of ram that XP doesn't support. Now I basically use Vista for the latest games for the best performance, and XP for surfing the internet, downloading, playing older games that don't work on Vista, programming for school, etc. I'll probably get rid of XP soon though because it's hard to maintain two operating systems, and I'm sure there's ways to get everything working on Vista.

I am perfectly happy with XP, plus all of my computers are pieced together from various POS comptuers so I don't want to over test them with Vista quite yet.
