I hate Chili's!

Now, I've gave them a go quite a bit due to the fact of being with other people that like them. The last 4-5 times that I've went, I've ordered different stuff to try and find what I like, but I can't find anything! Last night, I had their Cajun steak for $15.49 and it absolutely sucked! It's supposed to be a 12oz piece of meat, but instead I got a 5oz piece of meat with the other 7oz being fat. They're also generous and give you two sides of your choice. I chose their mashed potatoes with the cajun gravy and broccoli. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't mashed potatoes suppose to be mashed? The best part of the meal was the 2 beers and the broccoli.

Anyways, because of my job, I eat out just about every day.

My favorite places are alot of local or non-chain restaurants. Not in any order, I would say..
  • Cheesecake Factory
  • Quizno's
  • TGI Fridays
  • Ruby Tuesday
  • Olive Garden

I like a variety of different foods and my only rule for eating out is to stay away from the big chain mainstream restaurants! I try and find the mom and pop shops with specialty foods that taste really great.

There is a small Cafe that I go to (favorite place) that serves Gyro's (Yeer-o's) that are superb, they do a Chicken Schwarma Gyro which is kickass!, basically the chicken has special spices which make it spicy. They also do Lamb Kabobs, etc. Everything is grilled fresh and is delicious.

That being said there are a few places listed by other people here that I occasionally visit like Olive Garden, my wife likes it there.

I also have a few hangouts for Asian food. Vietnamese cuisine being one of my favorites! Damn their eggrolls are awesome! Much better than Chinese style eggrolls.

I've always had the feeling that TGI Friday's, Applebees, Ruby Tuesday's, and Chili's were basically the same restaurant: Pre-fab meals, vacuum sealed and frozen, defrosted and reheated for serving--except for the steak, that would have to be close to fresh in order to work.

Best meal from Chili's: South Western Egg Rolls and a Margarita Presidente

My favorite places to eat out are real down home fish camps or BBQ, e.g. Sconyers Bar-B-Q -- quite a long drive, but worth the trip.

Places I actually go in:

Chili's
Olive Garden
Outback Steakhouse
Ruby Tuesday
T.G.I. Fridays

Fast food/delivery:

Burger King
Cottage Inn
Lucky Kitchen
Panda Express

Those are all the regular ones. There are a lot more that I like, but they're local or less well-known. Oh, and for coffee, Espresso Royale.
