my answer is the third one..

for me, as long as i watched the anime either subbed or dubbed.. that suit's me fine..
imagine one piece that has 440+ episodes right now, even if i want it to be dubbed, it will take too much time to get to that point while if i watch it on subbed, atleast i could appreciate the animation and i think that sometimes dubbing a good anime has some flaws and holes.

oh, definitely subs. The original is in Japanese, I personally do not like to watch an edited show. Because, there will be time in the dubs, when it's making no sense at all. A lot of scenes are cut. I mean, have you guys ever watched Yu-Gi-Oh? (recommended though) There was a scene that two people was pointing their gun to Seto Kaiba, and do you know what happened in the dubbed show??? There they were pointing there finger at him... I mean what's that?

yep that's right, the only thing about dubbed is that you don't have to look to the lower part of the screen to understand what is happening, you can focus on watching the anime directly. but still i think that i has no affect in watching and understanding each anime even it has subs

I agree with lordofelemental, as i have no preference. I watched some where i thought the Japanese sounded horrendous and others where the english sounded bad. It all depends on your personal preference.

If it was all in subs it's quite possible we wouldn't see the series being licensed outside of japan and anime probably wouldn't have taken off aswell as it currently has.

I hate dubs. Don't know why but somehome the dubbers' voices make me uncomfortable.

I like subs. English nor Japanese isn't my first language either, so I need the text to look up.

I find it pretty funny that most people who do not enjoy subs tend to walk away from reading. I prefer the originality of the show and enjoy reading the subs.

I've noticed that exact same thing. Someone who is proficient at reading needs only a moments glance to see/understand any number of lines of text.

Dubs, absolutely NOT.

I think people who have watched many undubbed anime series will find it hard to even watch 1 minutes of dubbed ones. The seiyuu has its own factors in most anime series, taking it away is like ripping the series off.
