i almost always prefer subs, though i thought dragonball Z was good, outlaw star had decent ones. Most of the time dubs just don't translate the emotions and 'intensity' very well. Subs for me.

Depends on the anime and the dub. Terrible & annoying dubbing is best to be avoided at all costs. But if there is alot of fast dialogue in a specific anime, than subs are annoying as fk. And sometimes I prefer dub over the original cast, such as with DBZ, Shaman King, Medabots, Pokémon (yes I still like that, fk off) etc... :)

I chose subs.. think with dubs, the voice is far different with the original one. It feels different, and sometimes, it mean different.

It depends on the anime for me. SOME of them are Dubbed well enough that I'd prefer to watch it in English. It's a good break. But most anime you got to have the subs. Or your ears will bleeed. X_x

Miyazaki films are always good in English. Like Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke.

Sometimes I notice dubbed versions change characters a little bit. It's funny how switching a few words around can change the character's original personality.

Really depends on the voice actors they choose. I loved FMA and DBZ's english dub, but I HATE Naruto's dub. Mind you, these are just lame "mainstream" animes, but still...

this is a bit one sided your asking dubbed ppl to *read and reply with text* maybe if you put up a video with voices *then dub this video* they will better understand what is going on

I watch both, but prefer dubbed. I find it distracting to read subs, and I am missing some of the action of the anime.

Subs are better cause that way you learn some of the words they say.

I will prefer a dub when they got good voice actors. Princess Mononoke or that new X-MEN anime are good examples. But if the voice actors are going to be terrible then I'd prefer the sub.

I typically prefer dubs. I watched an episode of Soul Eater and I absolutely hated Death the Kid's Japanese voice; he sounded like an old man (and he's apparently a well-liked voice actor). The words for the sub version also seemed a little off - for example, one line that was subbed didn't really make much sense and it was apparently a joke; the same joke in the dub version was much funnier.

i prefer subs cause you can hear the real audio and some dubs are really not good. you can't feel the emotions

Mostly depends on the quality of the dub, but usually I prefer subs over dubs

both have major selling points. i started off with dubbed and i have to admit not having to pause or rewind because i glanced away from the screen does have its benefits. Inuyasha, naruto, and dragon ballz i thought were good in english but i luv watching the majority of my anime subbed. i cant stand some of the voices they use for some dubbs. i dont not find reading and watching the anime difficult at all so... subbed all the way
