which fansub group you download
and why there lots of groups that subing it but none of them keep it from start to end
kinda pain to start watching with one translation then have to go to other one and so on ...

I wait for a few weeks before I get a new series, to see which fansub group will fansub which anime(s)
I don't go for speedsubs, I want good quality subs

I know Shinsen will do ok, I recently cough detroit metal city cough realised I would get anything from Triad as long as they decide to sub it

I'm a bit lost with all those new fansubbers, so, pffff, I give it a go, depending on the series I've decided to try out, I don't always have much choice anyway

true, I'd like to be sure that I won' t have to switch from one team of subbers to another one at midcourse, but hey, without those guys I wouldn't be able to enjoy those shows at all, soooo, I'm grateful no matter what

yeah i'll just pick the one that done the most episodes/good quality and the rest only quality matters

there are other subbers I know will not disappoint:
Ureshii
Live-Evil (though I feel their subs don't remain on the screen long enough, I remember Death Note episodes where I couldn't finish reading the first sentence, and the next one was already there... or is it just me, since english is not my native language...?)

other teams of subbers like Rumbel (Soul Eater), GGR (Xam'd Lost Memories), Yuroshiku (Chi's Sweet Home), Pireze (EVA no Jikan), FrothBite, AE, Saizen, Menclave, Aniyoshi -I'm browsing in my hd for the most recent animes I downloaded in the past few weeks or months- I don't know much about, so I'll just give it a try, like I said in a post above

it's kind of reassuring, methink, when I see two teams joining forces for one anime, it means -I hope- that the translation-editing-quality check will be okay
for example, Froth Bite and Ureshii for Kaiba, Formula and Shinsen for Moonlight Mile, AE and Saizen for Shigurui...

there is something I hate though, when there is too much subs at the same time, you know, one sub for the dialogue + a useless commentary + a note to translate a sign/board
also, I really can't understand why even Shinsen sometimes put vertical subs, you know, top to bottom; it's NOT easy to read. I would rather have a small caption in a corner of the screen, like "sign read : school" or something like that

espacialy the new series with HQ
Lunar - macross frontier = havent started watching series yet but collecting the episodes and that why kinda want to keep it with "one" sub group / HQ - if possible

too bad that most of sub groups are using torrents, me dont like them at all

aaaah, about XAM'D LOST MEMORIES, I thought the Fabulous releases were raws...
or are they 720p vids?
that's why I got the GGR subs; I'll try the next Fabulous release, episode 8, when it's out there

I do use torrents most of the time, it works perfectly for me
DDL, MU or RS I've only been using for a couple of months, I started using those for comic-books, and a few times for tv series or anime

I use torrents for now because it allows me to upload stuff when my download is finished, I try to share at least the same amount of data I received.

I don't have any premium account with RS or MU, so I'm not sure I can upload anything, haven't tried that yet


I'm not much into HD stuff because I don't have the hardware, I can't even play 720p on my computer
now it's true that I could DL HQ stuff instead of + or - 175 Mo animes, but 350 Mo for a twenty something minutes of anime seems a bit too much

maybe I'll regret it when I get HD screen & computer in the upcoming months/years...
meh, one thing at a time, I'll get HQ or HD videos when the right time comes



ajar, can I ask you the reason(s?) why you don't like torrents? also, are you a premium RS or MU user?
I remember that friend of mine who showed me how to dl torrents; I came back home and tried as he showed me... pffffft, couldn't succeed, it didn't work at all
then a few weeks later he told me I should try the ABC client, and it worked alright.
now I'm using the Bitcomet client, and my girlfriend too (errr I'm not using her, she uses Bitcomet, yes, eheh)

about accounts, me rs premium, mu not, others not
personaly me is paranoic about security/safety on comps/internet
my opionion htat the using torrents just opens wider opening for unwanted stuff to get in into your system
i always hear people complaning about their comps been slow, im like asking you donwload , yeah , u use want "torrents" im like yep - that will do it

i like keep my comp clean and nice, rebuild my own vista home prem mine origional from the box, got rid of all the unnasasary stuff, that eats up your HD on the freash install and ram too,
use "links" to download rs, mu, direct from servers
where i at least somewhat know where its coming from, use good virus/spyware protection; im using kaspersky 7 internet security - works really good
i got side tricked with all os / harware crap sorry

using torents im not planing to leave my "laptop" continiously run like for a week or so just to donwload couple things;
using "links" (rs most for me) movies take me about 2 1/2 hours to finish
when im at school their speeds are way better, evening times while doing homework there, downloads movie in 10 mins (8 links/100megs each/ rapid share)
so that pretty much why
almost got a mu account , cause of hte stupid rs rules now, no more 9.000 points + ; for when you extend/buy again your account - that would work nice even if im not uploading to share and for ppls download my crap so i get point so to get free next month;
i just pay two times the third one will be free cause of the points 10.000 needed
now no more that thing, they only give you now 1000 if you extanded it or so now i have to pay every time / month ( was spliting my account with a friend for a while)
mu accounts still have this 9000 points thing, but people dont use it to upload as often as rapid share
so sticking with that for now
