Code Geass - A very good mecha and psychological anime.

One Piece - It might look bad at the beginning, but definitely one of the best anime out there. The more you watch it, the more you like it

Sword of the Stranger(Anime movie) - An AMAZING samurai movie, you don't want to miss this one.

Mushishi - If you like epic storytelling, this one is definitely the best anime you might come across(my best anime btw). Though it has no action or fancy stuff, but I have yet to come across someone who hated it or didn't like it.

Hajime no Ippo(AKA Fighting Spirit) - An anime about boxing, but very good regardless you like that sport or not, one of my best anime so far.

Kekkaishi - A shounen anime with good action, a bit similar to Bleach in concept.

Hunter X Hunter - Another shounen action anime, one of the best in that genere.

Dennou Coil - A very interesting Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk.

gundam 00, 25 eps - a political(ish) action/mecha with plenty of suspense, if you're considering code geass then go for this too. at the start i found it a little confusing/boring, but it gets quite good in my opinion. i came to like many of the characters, and theres a second season coming.

i think you might like hellsing

gun x sword you might like cuz its similar to trigun and cowboy bebop (if not slight ripoff lol) 26 eps, though i remember feeling kind of annoyed at the ending

just finished watching MONSTER - wow. an intelligent seinen thriller, deep story with characters that grow on you, very VERY well planned out and woven together, and some good action bits here and there. 74 eps

You can start to waching One Piece, its have (now) 356 episodes, so you don't need to look for more anime for quite a while :)
