I was wondering what players do the anime community generally use since i get mix reaction from my friends. Some of my firends say that it is the simplicity of the player is what make them use it, while some say some player gives out better quality. Generally I use Zoom Player for most of my anime but only use real media player when necessary. Generally I dont see any differences in quality but I like Zoom Player because of its simplicity I would like to hear what u guys say about it |

VLC player is good but can get a bit clunky at times Media Player Classic is IMO, the bast damn player out there. Simple to use, plays 99% of the files I have, easy audio and subtitle switching (for the files that have them) etc etc etc Real Media Player is what I use for the 1% of files that MPC doesn't like (real media files only) Long story short VLC or MPC(my reccomendation) for avi, mkv, vob, mp4 files, Real Media for rm and rmvb |

really all you need is windows media player, and get the codecs for eveerything, like matroska codec pack, and xp codec pack, and you'll be able to play anything on media player, except mp4 sometimes |

Yea, but the problem with WMP is that it really isn't well programmed. I find that videos freeze up a LOT when I'm using it especially if I'm running it off a cd or dvd. I do use WMP for music tho because it's playlists and organisation work better than anything else I have |

Content visible to registered users only. Join our free community today! I use MPC too, it's very good also FYI you don't need Real Player anymore, just use Real Alternative and all your RM/RMVB files will work in MPC in kinda a better way than the original Real Player Content visible to registered users only. Media player classic, probably the best video app out there. Doesn't use a lot of resources, plus it has a nice interface. |
