Emoticon Smile Where to start watching One Piece?

Hey everyone. I just decided to start watching One Piece, only to see that it has over 500+ episodes... Now I'm not feeling to watch ALL 500+ episodes just to catch up. Isn't there a certain episode or season I could start watching from that might ease things up? I don't want to miss plenty plenty, but at the same time 500+ is just too much lol.

one piece is a continuous series that builds on one another.
while you can start somewhere in the middle, you would miss out on the story and progress so far. Like starting in the middle of the matrix, not understanding why that guy does kung pow and shit ^^
so my advice.... watch it from the start. After the first 50 episodes i was totally hooked, and watch it still :)

You could start at "One Piece Episode 226" its the first episode of the key turning point of the series the "Enies Lobby" Ark, but I recommend that you start from the first episode.....

sorry OP... but gotta say, episode 1. Yes, it'll take forever. But so what? What's the rush?

Better yet if you like, just read the manga. Recommend either way. It's worth reading from the start.

What I would recommend starting from episode 1 and them if the show starts to move to a side story such as a flash back or a flash back that you've already have seen, than skip that one. Usually those side stories are about 3-10 episodes each so it would watch the main story line, it's a lot better and it's faster. There are some flash backs that repeat themselves 2-3 times from different points of view but they're still good to watch.

Start from episode 1, it's the only way to go. I did, took me almost 2 months to finish, but I'm sure glad I did.

Start at the beginning - episode 1. I enjoyed the early episodes WAY more than the recent stuff. There are quite a few episodes you can skip too.

Read the manga, then stop somewhere you feel is close to where you want to start watching. I'd start on episode one though and watch every single episode, because that's how I am.

Start at the beginning, otherwise you will miss a lot of important things.

You can skip these though, i think its about 85 or so filler episodes.

Episode: 50-51
Episode: 54-60 (61- Half Filler)
Episode: 93
Episode: 98-99
Episode: 101-102
Episode: 131-143
Episode: 196-206
Episode: 213-216
Episode: 220-226
Episode: 279-283
Episode: 317-319
Episode: 326-336
Episode: 382-384
Episode: 406-407
Episode: 426-429
Episode: 453-458
Episode: 493-504 (505 Half Filler)
thanks for the list of fillers to skip. I used to hate treading through all the fillers back when I started watching first season of Naruto before Shippuuden came out. Thanks bro!

Watch from episode 1. You may not like some of the fluff (particularly some childish moments in Usopp's episodes), but around episode 30 or so (a bit into the Arlong arc), the series will really draw you in. You'll really miss out some great stuff, not to mention some important character backstories, if you skip through the first 200 episodes as some suggested.

EDIT. By the way, don't just skip the fillers. Check them out first. While many of them were pretty bland, some were funny as hell.
