Default 3DS Owners

To all 3DS owners, are you happy with your purchase? I found a good deal for a used system with 6 games (games are new and top titles, Mario, Mariokart, etc) and was debating it.

So, happy or not?

I wanted to get myself a 3ds but since the new rumor about 3ds xl, I'll just have to hold it back first

Meh I ended selling mine. While there were some decent games I found the library a little sparse. Most were too... First party. I'm not much of a Mario fan so that killed a lot of the AAA titles. Neat device but not enough to keep me interested.

You need to put an option that says "I did not buy that shit"

Then you wouldn't be a 3DS owner, which is who the post is targeted towards.

Still wondering when we'll see the IR port being used. It's there, but no hints at ever implementing it into things. The web browser could use more updates. would be nice to have a youtube player, maybe an mp3 playing app, and a dedicated video player(screwing around with a 3rd party program to encode videos for viewing in the 3ds camera only allows 10 minutes maximum) Could always just get a flash cart to do video/audio, but jury's still out on the whole 'they'll know if you're using flash carts' since I never saw any proof. Oh, and improve the e-shop in terms of adding gba games to it.
A bit can be improved, but it's still good to have, now that the game library is to expand soon.

I won't need all of the uses besides playing games. I have a phone for camera/internet/mp3 player/etc. I will be using it while I travel between jobs (by bus/subway). I am travelling between 1-2 hours every day and I want to split the time with reading on my Kindle.

Games I would play:
Mario Land
Mario Kart
Starfox
Kid Icarus
Pilotwings
Street Fighter
and the new games coming out soon look fun.

It's either this or a used iPad 1.

If you are interested in those games and got a good deal (though I would much prefer to get a brand new one as I do like warranty) then I would go for it. Vita is a powerful handheld but it really lacks the titles I think.

I like having a warranty too and it has a few months left of warranty on it. I debated the Vita and then I remembered I have a PSP and never use it for lack of games. It looks like the Vita is on the same path.

Not sure where you live but for a while in the UK the best prices have been £100 from nearly launch day from glitches and that, so I would only buy if it was maximum that price personally.

You must not be aware of the circle pad pro then because it's very existence depends on the IR port. That thing make the 3DS look ugly but after playing Resident Evil Revelation with it I have a whole new respect for the 3DS.
