Try formatting your drive to NTFS and transfer your iso using Wii Backup Manager. Then make sure you are using the latest cios d2x and the latest USB Loader GX.

You could also try putting some music on there to see if something like WiiMC will recognize your thumb drive. That might help you figure out if it's compatible with the wii or not.

I tried to install WiiMC. After loading WiiMC from HBC, I encountered an error message "Error saving file!". When I clicked Retry, "Error creating file!". Lastly, when I cancelled the operation, it says "Could not save settings to sd1:/apps/wiimc/setings.xml". I tried the old version of WiiMC too and still didn't worked. Any ideas why it didn't worked?

Specs of my Wii:
System Menu 4.3
Homebrew Channel v1.1.0 (new update)
IOS58
Using 4GB SD card

From my expeirence its a compatablity issue,,I also did the fat32 transfer from a 80 Gig seagate drive to a 160 Seagate wester digital and had endless errors from not recognising the drive as if it is going into a sleep mode so I just stayed with the old 80 gig there are still some 40Gig space left on it and have no issues.
