Default Playstation 4 details emerge

Here is the source link:
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/122/1221819p1.html
Here is an excerpt:
Quote:
Furthermore, according to Kotaku's source, Orbis will not feature backwards compatibility with PlayStation 3 games and will incorporate some sort of used-games restriction. Apparently, once a consumer inserts a Blu-ray disc into Orbis it must be tied to a PSN account and can no longer be shared. The data can be installed onto the system and flagged as "downloaded" from the PSN so it can be re-downloaded for future use. Sources are "unclear" as to how the disc functions following this, though one possibility is that the disc can allow consumers to access trial content before purchasing the full game on their console.
So if these rumors are true, they are doing away with used games, how do you feel about that? I don't own any consoles myself but hmmmm

Lol yeah especially for the gamer on a budget. But if this is true and enough people don't like it, they may lose out...but then...there are many people not in the mood or in the know how for a gaming pc. They want simple. So there are those who wouldn't mind. Blah, piracy for the win....sorry but life is costly enough as it is :P

They are all copying off the original story by kotaku so you may as well source them. Anyway, I don't believe it will be even legal to do this anti-preowned thing.

The moment you accept their user agreement, they are allowed to do anything they please.

I don't really care about source stuff. If you know where it leads by all means. Just passing the rumors along.

Until it's hacked, I'll pass. I'm still waiting on a modern firmware hack for the PS3 before I buy one - if I buy one at all. There are enough games that I haven't played to keep me busy for the foreseeable future anyway, so I'm not worried about it.

Not true at all, legislation overrides any user agreement.

Ok, people forget that used games don't benefit the game developer nor the publisher of said used game. Only the retailer selling the game gets any of that money, this is an even bigger issue than piracy for them because, unlike piracy, it's nearly theft. So don't blame them for doing this kind of stuff, but it sucks if you just want to lend a copy to friend. Other than that, if the rumours are true, I support the idea.

I don't. I like to rent my games as it is the only barrier that makes me go legit. If they do this method I may as well just pirate them all.
