Don't know if anyone needs this but thought i would upload it to make things easier for some people rather then trying to find it all.
This includes everything you need to upgrade to Dark Alex's 3.40 from 1.5
There is also a recovery file to downgrade from Dark Alex's 3.10 back to 1.5 just place it in psp/game then enter recovery mode and run the eboot.
The instructions for flashing 3.40 is to completely overwrite the psp folder from the .rar i uploaded to your current folder called psp on your psp.
Then when this is copied while on your psp go game/memory stick then run update maker.
Then copy the .DXAR that is made when update maker is complete from the one of the folder on your psp to 340oeflasher.
After this on your psp go to game/memory stick again and run the firmware installer
This should then upgrade you to Dark Alex's 3.40

I think so becuase new games need the newer firmware for example transformers. I had to upgrade from 3.30 oe to 3.40 oe

Note. I believe you have to have been to a 1.5 at some time, before you can upgrade filmware.
