UltraStar (Karaoke)

I've recently heard about this UltraStar (karaoke, singstar-a-like) program (which has been out there for few years I guess, but I didn't know about it) which allows its users to play and sing custom songs and videos. I know it is available for PC, but can this program be used with ps2? By that I mean creating your own song compilation and burning an ISO image to a dvd and playing it on the ps2 console. If there is a program that allows me to create a custom ps2 karaoke disc, please let me know

Actually i never really tought about it. And i just got the programa recently to play on my pc with my singstar microphones. Its kind of hard tough to make your ps2 read a burned cd

Yeah, I think the same. But I heard some people are talking about a program called singstar creator, which makes an iso with custom songs for ps2, I'll try it out and see if it works (but I kinda doubt it).

I just burned an ISO with my custom music (made with a easy to use program - Singstar creator) and, on my surprise, it actually worked! I downloaded the songs from the site ultrastar and I followed a german video tutorial and It plays smoothly, videos, sound, lyrics, tone bar and everything else included!

I have played ultrastar at a friend's house; played with the ps2 singstar mic the experience was identical to the original.
