As for gaming, games like fruit ninja, infinity blade works best using touch screen control. U can't compare those with console/pc games. They r built differently with different purpose. I tried FPS, fighting, action games on ipad, they just suck without any tactile feedback.

Ipad for reading? Yes, they're doing an okay job for that.
