x360key for xbox 360

What do people think of this new device? I want peoples input. I pre ordered one cause it sounds awsome if it does what it is suppose to do. It will run games from an external hardrive, but i wonder if you use iso form and do you still have to run through abgx. Lots of questions and opinions. So what you know or think?

I havnt heard anything about it from team-xecuter
but im pretty sure you can run games from an iso on a jtagged console

JTAG doesn't work on all systems and this is supposedly going to be Live-capable. If I could afford it, I'd certainly give it a shot.

How it works:
x360key consists of 2 parts, a motherboard and a remote.
The motherboard connects to the SATA bus inside the Xbox 360, and sits between the drive and the Xbox 360 motherboard. x360key is a full-fledged computer system running embedded Linux. It is capable of many things such as
- Emulating the Xbox 360 DVD drive
- Reading USB hard drives and other USB media with various file systems
- Updating itself and other hardware from USB media
- Communicating with the remote and other external USB devices
- And a lot more! (embedded Web server and Wifi connectivity for exampe)
The remote is a simple yet stylish piece of hardware that features an OLED display and 3 buttons. It connects to the x360key motherboard via a high speed USB2 connection. It also has USB for connecting USB hard drives and other devices. The OLED and buttons are used to control various aspects of x360key. It is also used for browsing attached USB media devices and launching games.

The nice thing about this devise, you dont have to have jtagged or flashed system. And the best part, usb external hard drive. Saves on all the burned disks.

Microsoft is seriously cracking down on JTAG consoles. Most of the people who get caught with moded consoles have jtag

they wont sell that many at such a high price. i would gladly pay 50 for it but not 100 bucks. thats silly thinking on their part.

Basically it emulates the 360 disc drive so you hard drive looks like your disc. You don't launch any games through software as hack does not allow unsigned code.

Now the new jtag looks promising so my opinion is watch that scene.

Also you can bet this will be cloned to **** and you will see ones in £20 region with a month of it being market.

This is exactly why these companies sell at such high price. They know people will jump on it but just not for long. I would even say its possible to have home-made solution in few months.

Now if you looking for 360 for live this is not for you I don't think it will long to MS start banning people. Same with the new J-tag solution. I do think its worth having two 360 though one for modding purpose and one for them must have on-line games.

I agree. If your ganna mod and hack systems its not worth trying to get on line.

Looks really promising the new hack for Slim and Fat new Dash like JTAG but, we still have to figure how to rip XDG3 discs!!! Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Also looking forward to all the posts from the nubs that gub their boxs trying it out! XD

ok, can anyone help me. I found out I still need to be able to extract my keys from my 360 drive meaning I need a dump of my 360’s original firmware in order to use the X360key. I'm a nube to this and would love any help or a tutorial. I bought the x360key cause it said no jtag or flashing needed but it sounds like you still gatta do a lot of work to get this running. I dont know how to get the keys and do they mean from dvd drive or what. all help would be great:)

great video. They say in the future they will have a firmware that will automatically dump your key to the x360key. I may wait for that feature cause the stuff to get the key off the drive is like a $100.
