Installation of Steam:
(For holders of a license key)
- Install the game client Steam (* folder with the client Steam * \ steamapps \ common \ total war shogun 2)

ie way to install the game should look like this: C: \ Program Files \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ total war shogun 2

- Copy all files from the * ncf papkpi Ncf's in the folder with the client * Steam * \ steamapps \
- Start Steam -> Add game -> activate via Steam -> enter your license key
- Wait for the test files
- Play

But you can start the game , which I can't ; and my Windows 7 can update; in the meanwhile you can play custom battles .

I can't, I go in custom battle and as soon as I start it crashes. Also I want to say that this reminds me of Football Manager 2012 skidrow release the game but no crack and people couldn't wait and I think they released the crack after 2 weeks.

Have you tried updating sound drivers or graphic drivers? in the official forums, many people had the "can't start the game" problem and apparently it was because of outdated sound drivers.

That´s just beating a dead horse with a stick. The crack is broken and we have two options: wait and pray to get something or buy the game.

Only problem with buying the game is tye fact that you only get 6 clans instead of the 10 that skidrows release offers. I've been trying to find a way to unlock them with a legit copy but no luck so far.

I have no idea what's up with the game, skidrow or anything like that... however I feel I should point out that mine only crashed on turn 9... so it can't be JUST the crack.

I noticed someone a page or two back had posted the crash error... mine comes up with the appcrash of shogun2.exe but the fault module is Shogun2.dll unlike the "stackhash_(something)" error that I saw. Something?

To those complaining at how long it's taking... do any of you know how to crack a game?... let alone crack a game that has a way of checking for a tampered exe and forcing the game to crash after a certain trigger?... any of you? no? Didn't flippin' think so. Skidrow has to find the files, process or whatever that is responsible for the exe checking then find if any other files control that file and so on and so forth, then find a way to trick the game... it's not as easy as it damn well looks.

I just don't get how people can be so demanding and impatient, and rude, when they have no idea what they're talking about.

My friend could not wait so he buy the game on Steam but now he says when he turns it on he gets loading screen and it stuck there like that so when he press ALT+TAB so he see that the game crashes and this is the message that he's got:

Does anyone can answer why the Skidrow version " Complete installation " doesn't even start at least on my computer
What do I need to do or check ?
and I could play the full & complete ROTS with no problem at all

tanauser maybe sound drivers,i saw a lot people at twcenter that cant start game but after updating sound drivers they able to start the game,especially realtek drivers.

Or maybe again it could be vc_redist thing which we had with rots.

as manojlo and 7H331337 said;skidrow work is very heavy because the game itself has lots of bugs cause ctd.Skidrow will find which ones crash the game because of bugs and which ones causes security check crashes.All we can do is waiting,maybe chineese guys at ali213 and 3dm release cracker before skidrow.

I doubt if there will be a crackfix for this guys...

Maybe if a patch is released from the game company maybe then we will see a new crack too
