it was missing ; since patch17 & 18 has Re establish it ; you can now remove it with this small pack ( I found this blood splashing spots rather annoying)

Shroud Removal ; I just made
also here

just drop the tiny pack in the DATA folder ( as it is ) ( no mod) and the shroud of Campaign for FOTS will be off

Ravinius,can you check registry entries?Here is my registry entries,you can compare them.First one is under HKEY_Current_User,second one under HKEY_Local_Machine

Thanks for patch 17 and 18 but doesn't they need a new crack?

We've just released a patch for a couple of issues.

Fix for blood effect in blood pack
Fixed occasional crash when entering Avatar Conquest Map
Miscellaneous other crash fixes
Fixed an issue where trees could appear black
Fix for level 9 clan skill lockout

seems to be running well so far,
fresh install from this thread
apply the crackfix, make sure that your Antivirus don't quarantine one of the dll.
copy and paste the patches.

Sorry i have to admit that i have few random crash.

kaplann I checked the registry I have the first one but not the second. To be precise I do have installpath value in there only it points to actuall steam installation that I have.

Update: Ok I experimentet a bit with swapping files between crack and crackfix and I'm pretty certain the problem lays in steam_appi.dll or steam_f***er.dll because as soon as those files appear in game directory game refuses to run. I don't know mabe I have something installed that prevents it from running.

Ravinius,my suggest is reinstalling.After trying all these different possible solutions,still its not starting.A complete uninstall then installing from stracth maybe a solution.

1.Reinstall
2.Copy Skidrows crack.DONT START GAME.
3.Overwrite with crackfix.(You can use Skidrow.ini file from skidrows crack folder.The skidrow.ini file in the crackfix is different.Inside it,language is russian and less info then then the one in crack folder.
4.Start the game.

After uninstalling there may be folders,files and registry entries.Check all of them.

There is two files at C:\Documents and settings\Username\Local settings\Application Data named Chromium and Skidrow\34330.(34330 is steam number for shogun 2;if you have other folders in skidrow dont delete them they're belong to other games if you have.)

The Creative Assembly folder at C:\Documents and settings\Username\Application Data

Check registry entries from top to down to be sure at currentuser and localmachine

A scan with ccleaner or a similar software.

I'll try it when I'll have a bit of time. The thing is I already reinstalled the game a few times (which included cleaning the folders). As I said the problem lays with crackfix, FoS starts with skidrow crack but since it's faulty I can't play with it. Heck the reason it doesn't start might be that I have polish translated OS and crackfix has problems with it.
By the way as I understand many of you are playing fall of samurai for a couple of days. Did you notice any suspicious behaviour that could be connected to the crackfix not being false positive? I know I'm propably overreacting but hey better safe than sorry.
