I installed both of the black box and fightclub version but they all said: "unable to connect to an active Steam client, please ensure connected to Steam". Can someone help me to fix it!

Thanks for the Blacl Box link that has been posted here lately, the game works fine for me than the R.G Catalyst that giving me errors of not able of continuing campaign because it crashes all the time... again thanks...

hey guys.. i know most of you already solved the GFWlive issue, but i still cant seem to manage to pull it out, i mean whenever i run the game it works fine, even updated it to 1.01, but the stinking GFWlive wont show up, i hit HOME but nothing.. can any of you guys tell me how i can solve this issue? thanks!

have you tried to reinstall GFWL?

I did and still this is still happening this is so frustrating!!! I saw people with that bug on other sites too but no one has answered the questions.

i did, i tried installing the one on the disc, even downloaded the one on microsoft, even tried installing the one from fable 3, but the friggin' thing ain't just working.. its really frustrating especially now i've finished playing revelations, MW3 and battlefield 3.. just hoping you guys had to deal with the same issue and had a fix..

hi dein, try to reinstall .net frame works
it may cause the GFWL get errors

Can anyone help me with this?

I'm running the FightClub version. The first time I installed it it had worked. Although it would crash many times it still worked and I progressed in the game. But because of some software technical issues I had to do a clean format of my PC and now after installing it when I try to start with either the Launcher or Directly all I get is the error message. This time I have latest DX9, nVidia drivers and I even installed the .Net Framework from the disc.

Don't worry about this anyone, I fixed it. It was DirectX all along. So after I posted the problem I thought why don't I play AC Revelation so I installed it and guess what, it didn't work. That's right, DIDN'T. Instead it gave me an error. Only it was kind enough to tell me that a DX9 .dll file is missing; unlike Arkham City. So I thought if I have installed the latest DirectX then how could there be a missing file, right. So I reinstalled DirectX from ACR disc and voila, it works. And on a hunch I tried Arkham City and there we go, the monster was finally alive.

So all the people who're having the same error as mine before starting the game try installing DirectX from another Game disc that has released in 2011 like ACR, BF3, NFS R. I'm not saying its the only solution but its definately one of the numerous solution for BAC.
