True repacks are just eliminating certain languages, leaving the game structure intact.

Other types of repack add a video recoding to lower sizes and resolutions, also eliminating certain languages (the repack for CK2 has only 2 languages, geramn, french, spanish and so on were eliminated). Also this second type of repack will eliminate any additional software (directx, visual c++,steam, games for windows live, etc).Wins through saving a hell of a lot of space, lose at quality. So stick with the true repacks.

Examples of people who are doing the second type of repack: Simon (though Simon eliminates only the extra languages and the aforementioned software, but the quality of his repacks is well known) , RG, Kaos (Kaos is closer to ripping the game, though)

Rips have everything cut: movies, extra languages, music. To avoid at any cost. Those can't be updated through normal means. Yes, they have the smallest size, but, the gaming experience it's gone...

So, my advise stick with the first two type of repacks. They can be updated through normal means.

Simon's repacks are prolly the most popular and you can get them from the piratebay or demonoid.
Some time those repacks are posted here under a different names, but some of us know when a release it's stolen. We try to give credit to the people that actually did that thing, or if they are persons that don't want to be known, we thank them in the opening post.

You need:

a. a non Skid Row(Steam version of the game) - offered in the op post if you don't have it
b. the latest patch
c. the DLC if you are on a Gamersgate version of the game older than 1.05b

Well, I didn't worked because I had the Skidrow version. I will download the Repack version and try my luck.

SkidRow version is the Steam version of the game and it needs a cracked update. Which is not going to happen. SkidRow stopped cracking the updates at patch 1.02b.

So the best version right now is the repack (Gamersgate release).

If you mean the repack, no. I can provide the full DLC released by TinyISO and the patches. Still hunting the DLC sprite packs (Old Vic, Interwar planes, Interwar Artillery).

Also trying to get all the DLC's for HOI (some sprite packs here too, though it would be great if someone would post the HOI Collection, which has all the DLC's).

Pride of Nations is another Paradox game that i'm looking for a certain DLC: the spanish-american war scenario and the american civil war 1862 scenario. Hopefully, I'll manage to get those and I'll post them.
