Just modify hosts manually and save once again right before logging in.

Seriously, if there´s a point to it I don´t see it.
All people were complaining about was the necessity of an internet-connection.
At least that´s what everyone stated as their reason for wanting to pirate it.

He is talking about if you want to download updates from Moogle servers... if you used this before you would know that. Blizzard sucks ass now and so do their drm servers. This can be set up offline with no internet connection if you already have all the files.

LOL, nice one. Unfortunately, I've lost interest in diablo 3 since they introduced real money auction thingy. I've just preordered torchlight 2 which looks more promising than diablo 3
