not being tech savy is ok, that's why there are forum/wikis/etc. and not reading the other comments of a thread (his question was answered several times in this thread already) seems to be standard nowadays. but completely ignoring the original post of this thread, where the uploader explicitly states that he will upload a crack/emulator as soon as it is available, that's not ok.

The issue is not if a "crack" is available. A crack will do no more than let you into the login screen. The game needs to be emulated using a server emulator like Mooege. Currently, Mooege is the only server emulator out there for diablo 3, and they stopped supporting it after the beta (and even during the beta it barely works). It will be a VERY long time before this game is emulated at all, and even then it will likely never run 100% properly.

If you see cracks they are most likely fake, and even if they are real they aren't going to let you play the game. There are dozens and dozens of posts explaining this but still, people seem to not listen (or they're just in denial).

I'm saving you valuable bandwith, time, and the inevitable virus/scam when I say - there will be no crack that lets you actually play the game in the near future. We're talking a timespan of months, not days.
This has to be the most uninformed statement I have ever heard in the file sharing world. In over ten years of being part of the file sharing community I have been hearing about new protections and uncrackable software/games and its always a sham. There is no such thing as uncrackable software or games, anything can be beat no matter the protection. If its a new protection its simply a matter of reverse engineering and discovering a workaround. May take more time cause of the new protection but we are talking a week or two at most not months or never. We will see this working fully next week without any doubt in my mind.

He didn't say it's "uncrackable", because there is nothing to "crack" per se. It's a MMO game, just like WOW. So someone has to write a server emulator with databases. Tons of data, tons of little details that Blizzard (a group of payed professionals) spent years tweaking...

Which is why emulated servers never are 100% like the original.

It's simply too much work!

Diablo's downloadable content is not crackable...the whole game is in the server. The server does everything. Localy you only have textures, sounds videos and some other heavy material. This is not a "protection" it's a method, a way of things to work. What you are saying is like saying that someone, somewhere will be able to crack a television channel so you can watch the program you want, when you want.

The internet requirement to play this game is not only a "protection" against piracy, the servers generate data, data which your local client is dependant of.

It's been said a lot, but the only way to get this to work non-battle.net way is through some server emulator or some virtual machine doing the server's job.

IF and only IF someone gets a hand on the whole server side software, maybe then you will be able to play it, but it'l be like a Lineage2/WoW private server.

Simply put, you said it allright in your last sentence:

Well, if Diablo III is able to pull this off without someone tech savvy enough to create a emulator server, then expect most videos games in the future to do this as well, even Single Player heavy games. The developers might have finally found their triumph card.

It took years for a group to create their own server system for Modern Warfare 2, and the same might be true for Diablo III. Either wait for Torchlight II or just buy the game off Steam.

This doesnt work for every type of game and it was allready tryed by studios , just look back at Ubisoft with AC2, most publishers dont have the resources blizzard has and if they had they wouldnt use this for every title its just not possible and it wouldnt be profitable.
This alway on thing isnt about the drm blizzard could care less about a few pirates playing there game but if they didnt structure the game like a mmo they wouldnt be able to make the realmoney ah and thats what brings them money longterm.

LOL! The irony of this statement is FLOORING!

It seems in "over 10 years of being part of the file sharing community" you still haven't managed to learn the difference between a regular game and an MMO.

The game isn't "uncrackable". The game will be cracked soon enough. I never said it is "uncrackable" and if you truly believe I did, you need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills.

Even cracked the game is still absolutely UNPLAYABLE with a crack because EVERYTHING IS SERVER SIDE.

Someone previously made the analogy of the TV station. That is a perfect analogy.

The game doesn't need just a "crack". The game needs an ENTIRE EMULATOR. There is currently a team working on Mooege but that will take many many months before it's even working enough to deem the game "playable". Keep in mind, they have to emulate every little tiny detail that a full-time paid team is implementing over YEARS of production

and blizzard is STILL UPDATING the game, meaning the mooege team just gets farther and farther behind.

You're looking at a time span of MANY MONTHS to YEARS before the game works with an emulator. Mooege has already been in the works for a LONG TIME and they're not even close!

I will bet you any sum of money you desire this game will not be playable in 1 week. And then i'll let you double down on 2 weeks.

I'll have my paypal account ready, you just tell me the sum

wow the explanation from svceon is a nice one, if all game become like tv channel, due to the growth of internet, then i probably gonna stop gaming T__T,
or even if i have money to buy the game, if it required internet connection, it will cost more than you can imagine, in my country the cost and quality of internet connection isn't good enough, the latency sometimes can be a problem...

I wouldn't be too worried oyabinx. Servers cost money and eventually servers go down. All companies can't afford this type of thing.

And even if they could people will eventually flip their shit when the servers keep going down and they lose access to their games completely.

So either way I doubt this'll be common or even last very long.
