Inspiring and influencing a whole slew of games, from Resident Evil to Tomb Raider,
Alone in the Dark was the first third-person, 3D action title and surely one of the
scariest games anyone had seen at that time. Based loosely on the style and substance
of the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, Alone in the Dark was very unsettling. The player took
on the role of a paranormal investigator trying to escape from a manor haunted by a ghostly
pirate, an animated suit of armor, a freakishly scary tree, and more zombies than you could
shake a stick at. Though the graphics seem dated today, they were cutting edge at the time.

Dark Seed 2

Mike Dawson saved the world from the 'Ancients' in Dark Seed, but the experience
causes him to have a mental breakdown. In attempt to regain his sanity he returns to
his childhood home town, and moves in with his mother. A year goes by, and Mike is still
suffering from serious mental problems and memory lapses. To make matters worse, his high
school girlfriend, Rita, is found murdered after their high school reunion and everyone
seems to believe that Mike is the murderer. It would seem that the 'Ancients' have returned,
and in order for Mike to clear his name he must venture through different realities, solve
puzzles and stop the Ancients from taking over the world.

Resident Evil 1

Resident Evil has you running around for dear life inside a mansion populated by
zombies, hellhounds, and the like. You have to rescue other crew members, kill
zombies, solve puzzles, and escape the house safely. The game features a fixed
camera in every room, a huge mansion to explore, plenty of puzzle items and keys,
and a lot of zombies to blow away.

Raccoon City has somehow fallen victim to a zombie outbreak and it's up
to you as either police officer Leon Kennedy, or Claire Redfield (sister
to Chris Redfield from RE1), to find out what's going on. The adventure,
which takes place in 3D using pre-rendered backgrounds, drags you through
spooky crash sites, abandoned buildings, experiments gone wrong and more
-- all the while battling undead monstrosities, solving puzzles and, most of
all, trying to stay alive. Lots of weapons and other gadgetry allow for some
truly disgusting mayhem. It's an incredibly frightening game that delivers a
light back-story and lots of slasher movie, jump-out-and-go-boo scares.

Silent Hill 1

Harry Mason and his daughter Cheryl are heading to a small midwestern resort town.
Suddenly, Harry sees a dark figure in the street and swerves to avoid it, causing a
serious accident. After coming to, Harry realizes that he has smashed the car and Cheryl
is missing. Further, it has started to snow in the middle of summer, and the town appears
to be deserted. You must guide Harry through the town while he searches for his daughter
and tries to discover what happened in this strange community. Along the way, you will explore
a hospital, elementary school, and the streets of the town. Since Harry is an ordinary guy,
he will have to catch his breath after running and will often miss his target when shooting.
The entire game is given a frightening feeling with eerie lighting effects especially since
the town is dark and the vast majority of lighting comes from a flashlight. Will Harry be able
to save his daughter and escape the town in SILENT HILL?

The Suffering

The Suffering captures the disturbing and terrifying nature of the horror genre in a third-person action/adventure
game set in the mature and gritty world of a maximum-security prison. The player controls the prisoner Torque,
a hardened inmate in his late 20s, sentenced to die for a murder he may or may not have actually committed.
Slightly mentally instable, Torque has flashbacks to the events from his past, throbbing images that depict
the events that lead up to the crime for which he was imprisoned. The game features nine levels, frightening
character morphs, and more than 10 deadly weapons from the shiv to the tommy gun to aid in the survival of
this freakish nightmare.

Alone in the dark 4, part 14 is corrupt apparently, i'm going to re-download it and see if that helps. Just to let you know, if you could re-up that part, it'd be great
