However, one has to admit that the game became incredibly better with the care given to these areas, hitherto deficient. The background music accompanying the evolution of your civilization, and are of unquestionable quality and taste. The individual sounds of each unit and its 3D animations make battles more exciting.
The interface of Civ IV is more powerful than its predecessors and offers more features to the player. You can zoom out, moving away from the surface, seeing the world below the clouds, which offers a better overview of the map. Or you can zoom in on your cities and see the buildings that it owns, as well as the whole environment around them (farms, mills, mines, pastures, etc.), in the form of animated 3D models.
