The crack does not seem to work for me-I replaced it with the one installed and no luck.

I've tested it and it works.
Make sure that you copy the .exe file from the crack folder and into the root game folder overwriting the old .exe file. Or check the MSinfo in the crack folder.

Well I replaced the Crack with the one in the root folder but have not tested it yet. I downloaded it again from the link. But it did not show a error message at all-nothing even activated.

My PC can't seem to open the NFO file-
System Information cannot open this NFO file. It might be corrupted or a unreognized version.

But I see that whenever I try to open on a MSInfo file...

hmm...Have you tried to run the game? Does it run/crash? What do you mean by "nothing even activated"? When I tested it, I was able to run the game and start the first mission.

Also, to run the NFO files, don't try to open it with "System Information" - use Notepad or Wordpad. It doesn't tell you anything new though, here are the Install Notes it says:

1) Unpack, install
2) Extract content from cracked.rar into game dir.
3) Play!

Try to launch the game and see what happens...

Yeah-see when I clicked the simGangster.exe when I didn't even replace it with the crack. It gave me a option to play the trial or buy the full version. So it was all well and dandy on there.

But when I replaced it and clicked it (Know I did this manually without choosing startup simGangster after it installed) and turnover clock showed and all like it was going to start it up but know luck at all. It went over 30 seconds and I'm sure it only takes way less than that.

I have not idea whats going on-did it take long on your side to break in? Sorry for this craziness.

Well, things do get crazy now and then :] I see...So it wont start up. That's very odd...
The loading time for me was surprisingly fast (512mb RAM), I guess this game is not "heavy" on the graphics and most of it is just text, so I wouldn't be surprised if the loading time was quick. Sometimes it might take a bit longer for games to run for the first time, how long did you wait? It's probably a software problem because if you did everything correctly, there's no reason why it shouldn't run.

Sorry about this man...it's unlucky that it doesn't run on your PC - I'll see if I can find another working version of it for you.

The trial version always worked for me from all the simGangster versions to 2007...
I remember clicking it and after watching a whole hour long episode of Smallville, nothing showed up.

Man...I really wanted to play that game-its so addicting.
