[tehPARADOX]

An expedition of archaeologists on Earth discover an Aztec temple hidden under the Antarctic circle, housing a host of Alien creatures. A group of coming-of-age Predators have also come to the temple, as it has long been a training ground for their race. From there on, it's Aliens vs. Predators, with the humans caught in the middle.

LMFAO, imo this movie was a disgrace. It totally shifted the balance between sci-fi/ horror to sci-fi/ action. Most people loved the alien/ predator franchise due to the excellent mutual sci-fi horror genre, there was suspense, and PLENTY of action. This, for me, flooped. Goes to show the 80's and 90's could do something.

For me the previous predator and aliens movie pwned this, hands down. They should have got better actors, pity the 7ft guy that played both predator died, he was wicked. (r.i.p Kevin Peter Hall). But i wish directed would think before putting two ICONIC creatures in one film, the expectation will be enormous. Yes, I enjoyed it, but it didn't meet the expectation I had for it, it should've toppled all previous predator films, and alien films.

Honestly, with all the high tech gizmos, the re-design of the xenomorphs and the extended alloy blades, I thought this movie was gunna be wicked. Sadly.....

In the next movie they will make[ing], with that new xenomorph/ predator hybrid, they should get John McTiernan, Stephen Hopkins, Ridley Scott or Sigourney Weaver on board. Even one will suffice, as they've been involved and have had the experience with these types of films. The only reason I enjoyed AVP was because I could see some of John Davis' stuff come through. With the Strause brothers critique, I'm optimistic about AVP2
