someone (people) piss you off and they are the ones telling you to calm down? Just thought I would share that. My job involves customer service and for those out there (the majority of the world) who deal with people day in and out knows what I am talking about.  |

ohh yeah. i've worked at a restaurant before.. more like fastfood restaurant, but not. i remember those days.... ppl lining up to pay and getting angry if they can't get helped when we only had two registers.. one of them asking me (when i wasn't even on the register) to do a transaction for him.. i was thinking "does he honestly expect me to do a credit card transaction for him? i'm not at a register, where does he expect me to slide the card? my ass?" yeah it was really great trying to handle that when i had 3 trays of food in my hands and on my arm ppl can be pretty ridiculous. just gotta try your best and smile. brush it off so you can get through the day better. just hope that they trip and break their face or something.

I think people tend to be insensitive at times without realizing that the world does not evolve around them. biafurr is right, its best to just shrug it off and let it be so that it doesn't ruin your day. Karma has a way of coming back to those who think everything evolves around them. So aracely take the job. Dealing with people is an everyday thing one must learn. Even working in a hospital one has to deal with people and their moods. Its just a given when you live, and we all have our moments of drama! Some people have bad days hence they act the way they do, no biggie I understand, especially if I know the patient for sometime. Some come back and apologize for their actions. But then there is that percentage who thinks they are God's gift to the world and you are below them. I just smile and kill them with kindness, repeat what I have to say, and then good day.  I just keep in mind security is just a phone call away if they throw hissy fits. |
