Look at it this way, you won't be losing you iphone that easily.
If somebody steals your wallet or purse while you're on the phone, you can just trow your brick...I mean your phone to the thief and stop him for sure.

I'm one of those budget challenged individuals and Nokia my uncle passed on to me as he bought a new one serves me just fine. It calls, receives calls, sends and receives texts. That's all I need from a phone.

As far as all the gadgets they stuff into these new phones, I consider them gimicks. If I want a camera, and I do, I'll buy a freaking camera when I step out of the budget challenged groups. If I want a game, I'll do the same thing. I don't need 98% of the crap the stuff into those phones.

I'm not deluded, I don't consider myself a retro fan (matter fact, I hate retro), but a phone has a purpose and it's not to swat angry birds and film hobos beating the crap out of each others.

It's a phone, simple as that.
