Default Songs with good tempo ike these:-

I majorly listen to country (old/folk) or Alternative rock.. but sometimes I feel like listening to some songs like:
Rihana - Umbrella
Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
Pitbull ft Marc Anthony - Rain Over Me
Adele - Rolling in the Deep
Lady Gaga - Born This Way

Usually I'd hate these artists since I don't consider pop (I think they are pop arent they?? :P) music to be music..lol.. but these songs have got a good tempo and beats and get me in the mood for work when I don't feel like working!!

So can people recommend any more songs like these?? Where the music is not too fast or too slow and the beats/bass is good etc.. I am not even able to get the terminology right!! lol.. :P
I don't listen to much at all apart from the few genres I like.. nor do I know about these artists..

I tried listening to those.....and I might have some suggestions, but they are all in the hard rock or metalcore genres....little heavier than your "pop".

For reference, I use some of these on my workout sets....they are also driving, but heavier. If you dont like them, thats okay.

Chevelle - Clones
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Choke
Sevendust - Black
Five Finger Death Punch - Hate Me
Redline Chemistry - Ultragigantor
War of Ages - Redeemer
It Dies Today - Sixth of June

Haha.. Viscera they are totally not what I am looking for!! I don't think I can even walk let alone workout with them blaring..!! lol

Thanks for the options though.. I like only two hard rock bands switchfoot and dashboard confessional.. except them haven't given this genre much of a chance :P prefer Indie rock..

Tried to think of some songs similar to what you're looking for. A couple songs you could try:
Duffy - Mercy
Calvin Harris - Feel So Close
Coldplay - Princess of China
La Roux - Bulletproof
fun. - We Are Young
Kelly Clarkson - Stronger
Rihanna - Where Have You Been

And of course you always listen to more songs from the artists you listed.

The songs you've mentioned for Adele, Lewis & Rihanna are R&B songs, not pop. Well.. not that I know of.

Anyway, you might like..

Nelly - Just A Dream
Elliott Yamin - Wait For You (you most likely will like this, it's hard not to like it)
Elliott Yamin - Deserted
Trinie Tempah - Written In The Stars

Thanks _kyosuke_ !!.. These are what I was looking for!!.. :D Love fun. and Kelly clarkson especially!! But other songs are great too!!.. :D

I have tried listening to more from the same artists I mentioned.. but sadly found them to be unbearable! lol I don't know why :P That's why listen to only a few selective ones.. :P

Thanks TensionX1.. They were good to listen to but seemed a bit too teenage pop lol.. :P

Well just came back to this after a long time..

haha.. Anomander thanks for the list.. I listen to most of the artists you mentioned but a single song gets lost in the whole discography of the artist!! Need to take these out..

Phone is not a priority (which by the way I had to replace since the keypads gave out! I got another entry level nokia :P) as much as music is so I have a good music player with sony earphones.. which will be replaced with a sennheiser soon.. and that works pretty nicely for me here where people don't understand the need of a music player!

And also I like to think I have pretty good (and heavy) mix of music.. (I am sure you will not disagree if you do then then you might be having a problem maintaining your status around here :P) (Ran out of space to include bob seger, hank williams, mumford and a few others)but I love Dolly Parton's music a bit more than the others!!
