If you missed it I suggest when you see it the second time you wait till the credits have completed. I won't tell you what happened but it was a nice little comical addition.
Please do tell as I watched a special preview and I don't think it existed for our screening.

I thought the high point of the movie was Coulson's death (even though he was a favorite of mine) because he was an example of how innocent, nonviolent people are killed for no reason in wars.
You must not have a sense of humor.

That along with throwing Loki around like a doll was probably one of my few favourite parts of the show!

though I think maybe my preview screening may have been a little different to the finished one as I got a different ending credits to the final release according to the guy who pm'd me

Saw it last night. Easily the best superhero film ever made. I just hope Joss gets some more Hollywood power after how much money this earns so we can finally get a Buffy movie or a sequel to Serenity.

Avengers takes the box office crown by shattering the best weekend record in history: colossal 200.3 million in it's first 3 days!! I've seen it and it's clearly the best comic book adaptation of all time, critics agree and the general public (North American & Worldwide) agrees, comic geeks are in heaven......I've been to many fan entertainment forums and it's obvious that if you didn't like it you're in a very isolated minority. every one has their right to their opinion and I'll say: Avengers rocks! the movie is so much fun, instant classic for sure! will see it again in Imax 3d.......no chance at all that TDKR will top it let alone surpass it

Seeing as it would have cost a lot more to make this film purely because of the amount of actors, TDKR will still win

Let's get the facts straight: Avengers reported production budget (including actors fees) $220 million, marketing costs $100 million; worldwide boxoffice total in 12 days : $641 million and will very likely reach 1.2-1.5 billion by it's end run(just a low estimate).........now TDKR production budget: $250 million, marketing will probably be at least $100 million; very unlikely it will reach the same heights as Avengers worldwide so I think we know who'll become the most profitable movie, add in the various merchandising licenses revenues and it will certainly be very profitable for parent company Disney.

I find it ironic that when Micheal bay makes transformers movies or any movie, people say its all explosions and action and NO story.
yet when a marvel movie is made, and in this case one made by someone who rarely makes movies/tv series without action (Joss whedon doesn't make explosion-fest stuff. his work is usually good in story and overall awesome twists), EVERYONE SAYS THE MOVIE IS GOOD.

its double standards to critique someone for going route A and ignore that factor when critiquing someone else.

lets be honest here. Avengers is more like transformers and less like dark knight or green lantern.
what Dc movies always deliver is a good mixture of story and action.
Avengers went all out action, less story, less plot , less character development. and if you ask anyone they will tell you "Oh you should have watched iron man 2, thor and captain america movies before watching avengers".
did we have to watch batman begins to understand why batman is batman in Dark knight? the first 20 minutes of dark knight showed us innocent vigilantes fighting against scarecrow and batman coming in to bring peace.

Avengers= action and jokes. how different is that from transformers? i hate double standards.

plus, hugo weaving as red skull being in the avengers would have been better. loki was good but having all these heroes against just loki? lol total bs.

I totally agree. I was actually thinking about it earlier on in this thread but forgot to mention it. The thing is I actually enjoyed Transformers up until the third and then I was beginning to get a bit bored of the mindless action.

Though I think that unfortunately is how a lot of movies get recognition now. People only even decide to give a film a try if it has a big name in it etc.

woah woah woah no way in h*** was green lantern better or even comparable to avengers. sure nolans batman series are great but they take themselves so seriously all the time- call me crazy but i like to at least smile/laugh a couple times throughout a 2 hour movie. and the big difference between this and transformers is RDJ-scarho-samuel L etc. are solid actors while shia lebeauf is absolutely terrible- i mean michael bay cast a freaking victoria secret model w/ no acting experience in his lead female role!!! that guys an idiot & those movies are terrible- even the action in transformers is boring since it lags on for hours w/ nothing happening except EVEN MORE BUILDINGS CRUMBLING TO THE GROUND- like the first 50 weren't enough. to compare avengers to transformers or green lantern is one of the worst insults ive ever heard

Batman = Serious Man = Serious Movie.

PS: I only skimmed through of what you wrote. There's no way I was going to read that brick wall of text.

Because the jokes were actually funny unlike Transformers and you could actually tell what was going on and who was fighting who with the action. With Transformers you had no idea half the time what was going on because the damn camera was so close. You lose any credibility even mentioning the steaming pile of shit that was Green lantern. Green lantern goes in the same bracket with Elektra and Superman returns as horrific failures.

and OMEGA SMG is only in her mid thirties.
