Gentlemen:
A dude, a Joseph Cotton, Van Heflin type dude, works in a bank (late 1940's early 50s). He's got access to the safe and he gets tempted to take the money and run for Mexico. Once there, he plans to call the wife and tell her to bring the kids. She thinks he's playing golf that weekend.
He goes through hell getting the money to Mexico but finds he can't go through with it. He decides to try and get the money back into to the bank by Monday morning.
It's a great movie but I just can't remember the title and it's really hard to find a movie without it.
Does anyone remember what it's called?
Thanks - rev

Remembered a more recent film (2001) I am not sure if its a remake but the plot is almost identical. Chica de Río or Girl from Rio (2001) Stars Hugh Laurie Its not a bad film and quite entertaining. Its been shown on UK TV in the past year so I would think you would find it if you look hard enough. | ||
