Actually nowadays anything you do on the net isnt really safe in termss of being anonymous... sadly enough the same people that "protects your privacy" does it under their own terms. Meaning if suddenly a big firm decides to crack down on certain people for doing illegal stuff online for example, you will need a good attorney but, hey you are only a small part of the problem so the odds of the "enforcers" trying to sue you and send your dreams to jail are slim. But in this world you never know... All I have to say is.. take risks that you will enjoy after all you only live once and you might as well make of your time around earth a damn good one.

I know some of this to be true because i know someone in law enforcement that is in a web deliquency taskforce in ny

The risk is relatively low,
The ones that should worry are the releasers or people within the movie industry that release the copy of the said movie in the first place.

for trojans chances are bigger on torrents, but

in most of the cases we could find out before downloading,

watch out with the files that needs winzix, I saw some movies

ain't working this way.

how can a movie file contain a virus.
It is not an exe file

because it's not a movie!

it's rar, or zip etc, but as you downloaded,

cannot access it until go and search on some

bulls**t sites for passwords and so on...

(btw viruses are not infecting only apps!)

what about the risk of uploading your files and then share the links??
will the files just be reported to RS.com and then deleted, or will RS.com give the information of the upper and you will get busted?
i know there are people uploading tons of stuff, but how high is the risk?

If that was true I would've been busted already

Most of the risk is in public Torrent trackers I think

But I live in Yemen, where copyright law is almost not there, want to know about UK though since I plan to study there.

1-There are thousands if not millions of downloaders and uploaders taking all of them down will likely result of a break down in the legal system(thousands of lawyers and millions put into the already crowded jails)

2-Total collapse of population growth and education system(almost all high school and college students download free entertainment.My apologies I mean share and distribute entertainment).

3-there always a risk in life so its up to you(problems are the salt of life with out problems life is dull)

4-Use the search option this object has been debated already.


5-check with your ip provider contract(yes there is one)about your private information(in uncle sam land comcast is limiting your date usage to 5GB a month and other companies have different rules).
