Default Just came back from Dark Knight Rises special screening

Just been to Dark Knight Rises in IMAX cinema, first time been to IMAX screening so that was certainly exciting though I felt it was a bit loud and too bassy, my ears are a bit sore after that.

I enjoyed it but I didn't think it was nearly as good as The Dark Knight, there was actually very little Batman in this film really. Also, don't be reading imdb if you wish to not reveal a key 'twist' to one of the characters as the name gives it away.

[after screening spoiler alert - do not read beyond until you have seen the movie]

I am fairly sure Dick Grayson aka Robin is in this film. One of the cops, the guy from inception seemed to have another name. He also seemed to have a very similar past to Batman so I straight away thought he would be Robin. He doesn't actually make his appearance at Robin or Nightwing but I suspect Bruce Wayne gives him the suit of some kind at the end to take Batman's mantle as everyone thinks he has died.

How was U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy, the sponsor of the U.S. Senate version of SOPA (called PIPA) and the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee (which has jurisdiction over most bills that Hollywood cares about) in the movie? Talk about a conflict of interest. I'm going to see the movie Friday and try to forget the fact the fact that politicians can be bought by Hollywood.

I preferred Prometheus but I had never seen Alien so I guess it was something different to me. Was a bit disappointed that there was nothing really new about the themes, just the usual dramatic music which is of course great but needed something a little more jazzy but don't watch a rubbish copy of this film, or your not going to enjoy it as much.

I was stuck in a Cinema room tight packed with over 1,000 people and the seats were very close together so that possibly reduced my experience quite a bit.

I'm sorry I never understood that. Just eat before going to the cinema. Can't people go 2 hours without food?

I can't wait for the release.

More so, I like to have a drink on me. Though I was waiting for 2 hours in the Cinema and then the 2 and a bit hours it was for the film so was quite a long time without something otherwise.

My only question with the movie was in the pit. Why did the doctor say Bain escaped when it was the girl?

If I remember correctly the two men in the pit never said it was bane. When bruce asked they never answered. But they did say it was a boy which is plausible given the short hair and they weren't actually there. It's a word of mouth story and Ra's was hoping for it to be a boy which is why he left his wife there in the first place.

I have to admit.... I always buy a large popcorn and a large drink. Gotta have that popcorn for the movies. It's just not the same without it. A bit pricey yes but....

I agreed with every single word, This wasn't a batman movie, this was Nolan's Dark knight, and it was good, but not 'Batman' good. aside from some references here and there, it felt like a sad attempt to make a compelling story. the dark knight was so much better and actually combined the best of Nolan and Batman, as for this one, disappointing.
