The Last Stand (2013) - 1/5
This movie is very boring. I give 1/5 for the Corvette.

Bluray Oz 'The Great and Powerful' 7/10 I actually liked it more than I thought I'd dislike it. Mila Kunis is outstanding as Theodora, good cast and a nice twist to the original. Some scenes may be a bit freaky for young children. Theater G.I. Joe: Retaliation 7/10 Watched it because of characters Snake Eyes (Ray Park of Darth Maul fame) and Jaye (Adrianne Palicki). Cool fight scenes and FX, plot is something to be desired but the action was entertaining. |

Telling much more spoils the plot (and its pretty thin). Basically its a cute movie like Beautiful Creatures. Nothing too violent - one eating scene. Running zombies, with the best ones being the skeletons. Nothing like and NOT a patch on the brilliant tv series In the Flesh which has the dead being 'cured' and re-introduced into society. Watch only for a bonding session with your teenage daugher. 6/10.

It's a great action flick, just turn off your brain and accept it for what it is, physics defying stunts and all. P.S. There is an end credit scene so be sure to stick around for it. 8/10 |

. . Star Trek 'Into Darkness' - 5/10 I'd have dozed off halfway through, but the wretched sound track kept me awake. Well written dialogue and the cast made the most of it, although I think Kirk seemed lessened somehow from the character in the first film. Terrible, terrible musical score and a pretty boring story in general. Did I mention how bad the music was? Ugh, what a waste of an afternoon when I could have been counting nail clippings instead..... |
