Hitman

So, yet another video game movie. I didn't expect much, and I wasn't off in thinking so. It's basically only worth watching for the action and sex. The story is just an incredibly average one, and for how skilled of a hitman he's supposed to be, he does some incredibly stupid things.

Sleuth

This is a very good movie. It's incredibly different, and the mind games going on are perfectly done. Relying on two actors to carry a movie is a hard thing to do, but Michael Caine and Jude Law pull it off easily. The dialogue was also excellent.

I Am Legend

I saw the alternate ending version, and after reading about the theatrical ending, I'm glad I did. I was skeptical about how well Will Smith could pull it off, but it was done quite well. And of course the shots of NYC were amazing. Despite this, it was still basically a regular action movie of sorts with a little extra thrown in.

Well, I finally got around to watching this classic anime, and I can say that it pretty much lived up to the hype. For the '80s, the animation is incredibly detailed and well-drawn. It easily surpasses some of the stuff today. The story was also pretty good, although not terribly surprising. It deserves to be seen just because of the impact it has left.

12 Monkeys

Well, this was some movie. It's hard to say anything except that you need to see it for yourself. Some people will probably like it a lot, while others will hate it. Either way though, Brad Pitt gives an amazing performance, and Bruce Willis is up to his usual stuff. What makes this movie good, in my opinion, is how everything comes together so well in the end.

Into the Wild

When I first heard about this, the premise didn't seem too interesting to me. I didn't really want to watch some young man forge his way in the wild. But, while he does do this, the movie really is about the people he meets along the way. Needless to say, I was left pleasantly surprised, and it was definitely one of the best movies of 2007.

Perfect Blue

Well here is yet another famous anime movie. I love psychological thrillers and surrealism, and this movie definitely delivers on that. You can't help but be reminded of David Lynch's earlier work and his more recent like Mulholland Dr. The only gripe that I really have with it is that I feel like some parts were a bit overdone (probably from trying too hard).

This is probably one of the best dystopia movies I have ever seen. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't any over the top action lie in most dystopia films now a day (i.e. Equilibrium, Ultraviolet). Plus, it has one of the coolest catch phrases at the end "Soylent Green is People!". Needless to say, a great watch for a Saturday night.

The Darjeeling Limited-8.5/10

It had beautiful scenes in the film and made me want to see other movies by director Wes Anderson, like the Life Aquatic movie ^_^ I enjoyed the soundtrack, the acting of the strong cast, and the overall uniqueness of the film because I have never seen anything like it. Overall this turned out to be a film worthy of the 2+ hours and I don't regret watching it.

Even though the video quality is quite rubbish I would still give this film 9/10. Now I gotta watch 28 Weeks Later and hopefully if they make it, 28 Months Later!!!

Music and Lyrics-starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore

Rating: 7/10

It's purely a romantic comedy in the genre of chick-flicks and date movies. What I enjoyed about the movie was the intro and the 80's-styled music video, and overall it was a light movie that doesn't require the audience to do too much thinking lol. The plot was highly predictable and followed the traditional romance formula.

Something that could have improved the film was to have a spot in the film that went back into the past of Hugh Grant's character, to when the 80's has-been pop star had been highly popular.
