Ok everyone. Well I seem to have been wrong about this, it seems to have worked. I have downloaded the pack and then uncompressed it using WinRAR and it took about 3-5min to do. I checked the file size after that and it was in deed over 2GB. So its looks like this 78MB compression is true. I have not burned it yet to see if it will install.

I had scanned it before and after compression for Virus' and the only thing it caught was the Crack in the folder. Everything else seems to be clean.

Hope this answered some peoples questions.

yeh the compression works and it indeed extracted all files. but im getting the eroor " unable to make installation directory" i went through the tutorials but cant make it work ... im trying to install from windows xp ... without DVD

Well not that I'm sure of what i'm gonna say but it worked for me
I was trying to install the latest Servise pack (on XP of course ) and i forgot that it need to format the HDD and then install it. As i forgot the SP instalation formated everything even the windows so after that i said why install XP again install Vista...
And thats what i did i insert a vista boot DVD and from there on i continou with vista installation

Yep I believe this is true... I downloaded san andreas for pc which is 4gb i downloaded it at rapidshare for only at least 500mb (fits to a 1 blank cd)

Why doesnt everyone shrink their releases. It would make a big difference to me because i only have a set number of download quota per month.

I believe this should be starndard in the download scene
