![]() Synopsis: Everybody's favorite game show host Guy Smiley invites you to play along with his Sesame friends! Try to "Name that Sound,' play Grover Hind-n-Seek, and count with The Count as he attempts to win the big prize. Play with Me Sesame is like a personal play date with a young child's favorite Sesame friend. Games and activities promotes play and participation that help preschoolers to learn social, cognitive and emotional skills while having fun. “Play With Me Sesame: Let’s Play Games” is filled with all of the energy, action, songs, skits, puppetry, laughs and fun that has been associated with Sesame Street for years. This DVD/CD ROM combination is wonderfully complimentary to each other. The DVD is packed with guessing games, computer games, Guy Smiley game shows, pretending, “Ernie Says” and much, much more. There is a wonderful mix of the new and old which will have moms and dads reminiscing while the kids enjoy it all! The CD ROM is very easy to use and is divided into three subject sections. Under each section are four related videos and three games to play. Many of the games are also on SesameStreet.com which may make them quite familiar to kids. Both the DVD and the CD ROM are worry free in the content department with nothing but fun, wholesome, educational material. This is a nice 2-disc set that includes one DVD of play-and-cooperation oriented films, and a second CD-ROM of interactive games. Much of it will be familiar to "Sesame" fans who have watched the TV show or other DVD collections, or visited the "Sesame Street" CTW website. The CD-ROM disc mostly recycles material from the website... This approach has its plusses and minuses. Kids who haven't already plugged into the online Street site may enjoy the various games, although kids who have already been online will have probably already explored most of this material. The CD-ROM versions have the advantages of better sound and sharper graphics, and not being dependent on Internet connectivity to function properly. One odd detail is that many of the game that loop endlessly on the website often end abruptly here (especially if you don't engage the program) Although kids may want them to go on longer, parents may find themselves thankful that they don't... especially the ones that feature Elmo's sweet little voice... This collection's theme is based on games and cooperative play -- the video portion includes a lot of material that previously was gathered on an earlier videos... which makes the added games a nice bonus feature. Like all "Sesame" material, it's great for little kids. Content visible to registered users only. Join our free community today! |
