Cyanogenmod 9 (CM9) based ROMS are prety good, but they can become unstable, the best option it's to wait for a stable official release. I've a Galaxy Tab 10.1 still waiting for ICS.

Hmm, I remember flashing my sgs2 the day after the kernels n such were released. Mine is an international version though. Do have a look around at the site RaptorHunter mentioned, you might find what you're looking for.

I'm currently using Slim ICS on my Galaxy S2 and I'm loving it. It has been fast and very stable.

You can take a look through the following sites if you'd like to know more about it.

i'm using this alliance rom (previously from Darky Rom)

minimal modding, so its very stable and very lite (without samsung bloatware) you can install back the samsung apps if you want also. dont have a single problem so far. but do see the comments before you flash so you know what to expect if theres an error.

i like how they push updates using their OTA app, meaning if theres a bug, it can be updated on the go.

you can also customise your ICE via their OTA
