I have not burned it due to no sound. On my hard drive i now have 2 files 1 is an iso and 1 is a mds please advise if i have done something wrong as my head hurts from wondering why i have no sound with my decoded movie :sorrysign:. msidgwick: The first thing to realize, is that what your trying to do is not trivial. There are a bunch of bright individuals earning a very good living by working to keep you from backing up your dvds and cds. Since you list two tutorials that you followed I'm assuming you don't yet have alot of experience at this and I'm just letting you know up front you're going to get good at this over time by doing it not reading a post or two. My advice is to first try few older movies (if you haven't already) to see if you are doing it right. Dvd decrypter is no longer being updated and may not handle the particular disk you're working on. Dvd Fab appears to be the de-facto replacement for decrypter but it's not freeware. If the copy protection was indeed removed correctly then your situation is that audio stream has been de-coupled either because your setting were incorrect for the material your working on or they authoured the dvd to not decrypt easily (something not listed on the cover) You also may want to try different dvd player software to verify the sound truly isn't there. Doom9.org has the most complete guides and whitepapers on video I know about and a complete archive of software tools so check them out for all the software I mention. Try using g-spot to report on the codecs used on your decrypted image. Next I try Auto-Gordian Knot and see if it will get you an avi or mpg that works. If it looks like audio is coming out of decrypter and AutoGK isn't dealing with it then I'd try Gordian Knot the full manual version and if that doesn't work then you'll have to start all over with another decrypting program Remember a cracked program won't always have full functionality so if you can't afford to buy a bunch of software to try you'll have to be careful to verify what works and what doesn't. This is most ART with just a hint of science so don't give up quickly, and realize there is a bunch of jargon that you will encounter, setting you don't understand, and a lot of mistakes you are going to make before you get good. So head over to doom9 and read up on the tools I mentioned and try them out. Good luck

Wait....I didn't quite understand your post. You already ripped the .iso of the DVD and you tried playing that and it had no sound? Or....did you then convert the .iso to some other form like .avi...and that didn't have sound? Ff it's the first case...Re-rip it using ImgBurn, which is the new DVD Decrypter. It gets through more copy protection etc. I burn a lot of DVDs and rip a lot of DVDs....and I only need ImgBurn. Sometimes I use AnyDVD+CloneDVD, too.
