How to bypass password?

I just dl Lynda.com tutorial "Creative Photography Techniques" and the files need a password to unzip. Any ideas on how I can unzip without a password?

If there was no password supplied your best bet is to do a google search of the filename and see if it has been posted anywhere else with the correct pass.
Short of that ask in the thread and pray for a response or try to find the same thing elsewhere and re-download.

There's no way to easily bypass an archive with file protection. You can brute-force it, but that would take a very long time most likely.

I've never had any luck with this but I've only tried it a few times with big movie archives. If it's just a tutorial I assume it's a pretty small file, probably one zip file. If that's the case you probably can crack it with the right program. I'd just google brute force zip or zip password recovery if you can't find another way to get the file.

JFYI: You cannot "crack" a password protected archive (as advised earlier) because they are encrypted WITH the password. Brute forcing "works" of course, but it takes a looooong time. If it is a very very short password <5 characters and "only" alphanumeric it doesn't take very "long" But if you have passwords where you don't know how long it is, what characters ahve been used - you simply have to assume that the entire (extended) ascii character set has been used and is <20 or even 30 characters. This can take longer than you live on a usual computer

It has about 220 printable characters, which give roughly 1.9E70 combinations... that's quite a long list

Well, you would have to check about 10E60 passwords a second to do that in 60 years

The "official" pass seems to be "uploaded_by_abedy", but it doesn't work. You can try with: YeYo4NigMae or jL4XyiI7MxX3afM0 or http://wareznet.cz
Have you searched for a other file or with other software? There are a lot of chances.
