Multiple accounts

I assume this is against site rules, so my question is what to do.

I just used the report thread because I believe the user has multiple accounts ( 2 posts, 2 different user names, both posts identical, exact same links.

Is that the right way to do it, or should I have sent a message to a mod.

I would say yes that is the best way to do it. When i see someone posting with multiple accounts (Which there has been a lot of in the movie forum lately) i just put all of the names into one report with "Multi-account poster/Duplicate posts" for the reason and the mods have dealt with it.

Both methods are right, but most effective way is to use "Report".
PM to mod - thats probably preferred in case of some bigger/larger problems.

Multiple accounts not allowed.

I did one before where I sent a report about being posted in the wrong area, but there was a few incorrect postings so I put all the post codes. Its the easiest way to do it for multiple post from one user instead of waiting for the 300 second time out.

That is exactly how to handle it DarthSion , that way any mod can get the report

if you PM a mod instead only 1 mod will get the message and he may not be online that day or time

To answer DarthSion's question:
Sending a report is the preferred method since any Staff member can then see the thread. Any Staff that is online at the time can then deal with the spammers whether they officially Moderate that section or not.
