Hey Fellas, how ya all doing ?  Anyways , here is the deal  , until recently my pc was rebooting as it wished, i.e now and then , quite often! For no apparent reason.Most of the times it happened while I was watching a Tv Series. Now I noticed generally 3 appz was for certain runnin when that was happening. 1.Firefox ( FF ) v 3 2.Media Player Classic ( MPC ) 3.IDM. So I uninstalled MPC and restarted and installed THE KM PLAYER ( How many of ya use it ? I wonder...  )but the problem persisted , then I uninstalled FF and now working on Opera... and not a single time the PC has rebooted , been 16 long hrs now. So I am thinking maybe the problem was with FF. Anyone here happened to have faced similar problem ?  I will try tomorrow again reinstalling FF back... hopefully it will be all ok

that's weird. i've never had a single problem with my computer rebooting because of firefox... what operating system are you using? |

Thanks for replying, using Win XP Pro SP2 ..... Well I am using PC since 2000 , and XP since 2003 I reckon... I never had this kinda problem either  |

I have the same problem! But i dont use Firefox anyway. I use Maxthon.  any way to overcome this problem? |

me3 i use TheKMplayer too. good internal filters and codecs support. this may sound useless and stupid but try another firefox based browser? like songbird or flock.. its either the browser or the add-ons. |

I would suggest trying either a different browser (such as Safari) or downgrading to FF version 2. |

Ok thanks people for replies and suggestion. I have reinstalled FF3 and been using it for last 4 hrs, and no crashes yet! Hopefully this will keep up!  |
