Default Recommended torrent client with udp & magnet support for XP

I've been using uTorrent 1.81 for a while and the latest Halite, and I wonder what's the most stable version of uTorrent that works on XP with udp & magnet support?

the latest 1s are bugged badly. they keep disk thrashing and are loaded with bloat ware.
i got so sick of it infact i reverted back to 2.2.1 which allws udp and magnet links.has all the features of the older version with none of the crapware that the new version has...

i got it from
http://www.oldversion.com/download-uTorrent-2.2.1.25203.html
set it up make sure you uncheck everything like ask toolbar or what ever crap there selling and run as normal. it should import your current downloads and settings but if it doesnt its easy enough to setup... dont forget to remove the search bar that sends you to bittorent site.

Instead of utorrent old versions you could try the open-source Deluge - no crapware, etc.

I have used it for a long time, before I used utorrent - until version 2.2

thats actually a nice little torrent daemon. the only issue i have is you cant seem to view the tracker info... other than that 10/10.
easy to setup/has encryption/will max out my 30mb line just as quickly as utorrent...
nice find.

qBittorrent is my new fav. Supports all that and has a smaller memory footprint as well as lower CPU usage. Check it out...

I honestly don't know what the hell you guys are talking about 'bloatware' and the like. With XP I use the latest utorrent. I don't see how a program of only 874k, for v3.2, can have any really unnecessary crap. It works great for me! Small footprint, fast, works extremely well with demonoid and pirate bay, using magnet links etc., among many others. The previous versions always seem too easily slowed down. The latest versions don't seem to have these problems. There is the normal slow start then, depending on seeds, runs like fire. This is particularly true if your download\upload ratio is above 1.0

Please let me know if I'm completely missing something here.

utorrent installs unrequested toolbars and it's annoying with advertising, I think 'bloatware crapware' refers to that

Delude didn't worked on my system, it couldn't even start. Qbitorrent seems nice & simple, but it kept one additional port open (testing without firewall). I think for now I'll stick with uTorrent 2.2 using ipfilter to block some connections it tries to phone home, even after disabling everything in auto-updates.

I guess everyone has it needs when it comes to software, to each its own. Thanks again for the input guys. :)

Quite strange, being a cross-platform software it should work in every OS: Mac, Linux and windows.

Well, they actually mention the issue on their FAQ:
http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Faq#Delugedoesntstart
I tried installing again and same issue. :(

OK retrol, I see, but you need to code any external link :) The button 'link' can be used ONLY for internal link - i.e., a page of tehparadox.
