Default RS free download speeds

I have been getting patchy download speeds from RS from 20kb to 280kb, sometimes it drops to zero if I download link directly. When I use jd I only get 30kb, I have jd set to match my top speed from ISP @ 750, no effect......any ideas????

I got the same thing browser shows random speeds and JD shows constant 30kb/s. I have averaged the time and based on the time it takes to download a file through the browser it averages 30 kb/s. want faster go premium cause 30 k is all you will get as free user.

I would advice you to get real debrid account. 3ERO for 20 days all filehosters out there and supper fast speeds. There is lot people on here using them and I've heard no complaints. Also if you get Jdownloader nightly you can add your account and JD will pick all links instantly when you highlight them.

RS are limiting speeds for free users. Get a AllDebrid account for less hassle.

All free users from Rapidshare will get 30kb/s , i use jdownloader and it fluctuates but in the end the speed will work out to approx 30kb/s

Rapidshare disabled the ability to resume downloads that were stopped for free users and also limited the average download speed to 30 kb/s.

Because of the way they are doing this, it may look like the download is frozen.

Don’t worry – it’s not. It’s just waiting for the next piece of the file to be transferred.

The pauses in between are added by Rapidshare in order to make the overall average speed slower for free-users.

I thought I'd try the Alldebrid 2 day free trial.

However, what they don't tell you is that it only works with 2 hosts. I wanted to test RS, but wasted a bunch of time signing up and then installing the nightly update ver of jdownloader, only to find the speed was the same as a free user.

I had to go into their forum to find out about that "little" restriction. :(

As a free user i find Jumbofiles or Mediafire to be the best.
I find rapidshare is not very good at all because of their speed lmitations and with Netload i only get a download speed of around 10 kb per second.
