Default "Server too busy" but not when using vpn

I recently upgraded my broadband to fibre and it came with a new static ip address. Since then (just under 1 week) I have not been able to access TP and all I get is a "server too busy, try again later" comment. I am used to seeing this message occasionally but after a couple of days with no access I checked with friends and they had no issue getting on TP. I decided to try with VPN and hey presto no probs logging on and if I switch off the VPN it goes back to the "server too busy" message.

I assumed my IP was being blocked or similar so contacted my ISP who attempted a few different addresses but all in the same range 159.253.74.xxx and I still had same "server too busy" problem. Outside of this range I had no issues but that put me back down to old DSL speeds and ISP said they can't do anything about this - they have to give me an address within the 159.253.74.xxx range. They said that this range is new for their fibre lines (not used before by another ISP) and that the site I am trying to view may not have this range included in their "permitted" IP range.

Sorry for the lengthy post but here I am! Any ideas of whether the above is true and whether TP can help to resolve?

Most likely only Admin of tehParadox himself can help you with this.

I would PM TP with this one but if the range is banned or something like that I doubt much can be done.

Cheers,

Is there a preferred way of contacting admin or should I just (for now) see if this thread can work any magic with TP mods etc?

EDIT: posted at same time as Jiff - ignore above
