Default what kind of cpu usage to expect from coreavc

hi im not sure if i can get coreavc to work. i usually use ffdshow for avc but lately ive always seen that coreavc is listed as the codec to use for hd movies in the nfo's. i usually use kmplayer and when i play a 5k bitrate 720p movie my cpu usage is around 15% with ffdshow as the decoder. when i switched it to coreavc it stayed the same and i thought maybe i was doing something wrong in kmplayer so i tried mpc and uninstalled ffdshow completely with revo and in mpc its the same thing around 15% sometimes lower down to 5 sometimes up to 20%. ive read some people using like 2% with core avc and 50% without it. just wondering if this is normal what im getting or if im still doing something wrong with coreavc and if its that much faster wouldnt pq suffer atleast a bit to make it so much faster?

use newer versions if you got a powerful pc,

and "older" version if you have a slower pc.

Thank you. Please read more about a correct AV setup here:

Information Re: what kind of cpu usage to expect from coreavc

What you asked, nobody can answer responsibly! Depends 100% on your applied AV setup. In general terms, CoreAvc PROFESSIONAL (not the freeware version found in codec packs) consumes less cpu resources than most other similar decoders do.
