Hi, I just spend some time reading this topic, I just reinstalled my OS (Vista) and normally I just install the CCC-pack, but this time I wanted to do it right; so just one simple question:

Is the guide on the bottom of the second page still the best guide to install codecs?

I use my computer to download movies, also HD rips of bluray and to rip movies (autogk)

hi, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. you have been great help for many of us who dont know much about computers. I was wondering if you could help me with some thing. i have been downloading blueray rip dnd from this forum and i do not know hoe to use it, i first extractet them fron rar files then they show it with the extension .r01,.r02,.r03,.r04 etc and it says its an unix executable files and am using imac ...Could you please advice me how to extract and use them so i can watch this hd movies in my computer..Your help is greatly appritiated...Thank you

You're welcome. Always glad to know that some ppl got truly helped. However, I've never used mac in my life therefore can't really help you on this. Just FYI, these .r00 .r01 etc files are also winrar ones. It's about a two stage extraction process. If your OS was windows, then you just had to use winrar again to extract the contents of these files (left click on .r00 and select where to extract). I'm not aware how this process works on a mac. Nevertheless, this is not the right thread to discuss that topic. Please search the Helpdesk section for more and you might have to start a new thread in there.
