Here is the whole album via torrent, track file sizes look like they are in 128 - 192 depending on length. You can always convert

Join our free community today! It says filesize=60Mb, which is the filesize of the previous rapidshare link. It is 192Kbps this one, too. Thanks anyway. |

Are you not able to convert it? I can download it and convert it for you, but why aren't you able to?

Join our free community today! I do NOT want it just converted to 224Kbps from 192... or FLAC from 192... I am looking for QUALITY. This is why i ask for a high bitrate encoded mp3. This means higher bitrate from the source. The source is the original AudioCD ofcourse. If my friend A brings me the converted FLAC or 224Kbps encoded from the 192Kbps file and my friend B gives me the converted FLAC or 224Kbps encoded from the source, well friend B is the best because his file has higher quality. I think you understand that. |

What you are basically saying is that something taken from a source at 192kbps converted to say 224 will be less quality than something going straight to 224? I disagree.
All files come from a source recording, yes, but just because you take a 192kbps track and upconvert it doesn't mean it will be less than one you never had to. They all come from the same source. |

Join our free community today! Well, this is off the topic, sorry about that but let me make myself clear. I will simplify things in order to be understandable. Conversion no1: Audio CD --> MP3 192 Kbps Let's say we have 100 different frequences on the original Audio CD. What does MP3 do? It does NOT keep all the frequences. It keeps only the ones that can fit in the filesize of the final file. So, the MP3 192Kbps has 40 different frequences. The others 40 are gone. Conversion no2: Audio CD --> MP3 224 Kbps Let's say we have 100 different frequences on the original Audio CD. So, the MP3 192Kbps has 40 different frequences. Now we have better bitrate, meaning that we can store MORE frequences in the final file. The MP3 224Kbps has 50 different frequences. Conversion no3: MP3 192 Kbps --> MP3 224 Kbps Let's say we have 100 different frequences on the original Audio CD. So, the MP3 192Kbps has 40 different frequences. Now we have better bitrate, BUT we can NOT store MORE frequences in the final file. Why? We can not make 50 different frequences, from a source of 40! But we can "double" some of them (it is not actually doubling frequences, but for the simplicity i say that) and we end up with a MP3 224Kbps that has 40 different + 10 (doubles) frequences. Now we compare the FILE2 and FILE3. FILE2 is the MP3 224 Kbps final file from the Conversion no2. FILE3 is the MP3 224 Kbps final file from the Conversion no3. FILE2 has 50 different frequences. FILE3 has 40 different frequences. It is obvious that FILE2 has better quality. So, when we make an MP3 we LOSE info. If we convert a MP3 file into another MP3 to a higher bitrate, we have 2 files of the same sound info. The only difference is that the second file has "doubled" some info and gained filesize. When we make an MP3 we are not making a rar file. we LOSE info once and for all. When we are making a rar file, we keep all the original info. Don't take the numbers as real by the letters, it's just a way to give you a simplified answer.

Ok. See your way is correct, but I thought that the info lost was just compressed into just about nothing, so it is still there when you want to upconvert (that would be a great format, wouldn't it?) but it seems like you've done your homework so I'll let you have this one, lol. Until next time.
At 192kbps @ MP4 though, I can't tell much difference than the source so you must have pretty good ears, unless MP3 is still lacking at 192kbps. |
